Samuel Owusu Peprah “Qwame Afro” is a Ghanaian rap and reggae artist. He was born 27 February 1992, he’s legit, and he’s a graduate of Hard ware/Networking at IPMC. See
I first bankulized with his music on my way out on a beer run, I heard him blasting himself off his speakers in an empty shop annexe to where he lives, around him were members of his small team, BFG.
Quami fuses his rap with English and his local Twi dialect, his coarse voice gives it a likeable riddim to something Sarkodie will sound like at a younger age, or Stonebwoy when he decides to shake his invisible dreads and make reggae. I dare make those comparisons. I heard money on my mind and Killa riddim where he decided to diversify into reggae, he also killed it.
While speaking to Qwame he shared personal struggles about getting into the Ghanaian music industry and how it is based on who knows who, I hate to think that’s the future of art. Samuel Peprah further went on to say it was hard to record any songs in his area and peopled laughed at his flows and said he had no punchlines. Well, we didn’t.
