Africa to the world! African music is being brought to the world and this year African acts such as 2face, Wizkid and others, have had their break into the international scene.
2Face Idibia is about to make history.
The works of Nigerian music legend, 2face Idibia will be unveiled at the Grammy Museum’s new exhibit dubbed ‘Sounds of Africa’. The event will focus on displaying and celebrating legacies in the African music industry and it’ll feature other African acts like Angelique Kidjo, Salif Keith, Mafikizolo among others. These artistes who are also winners of Grammy awards and BET awards respectively, are being celebrated for their creative process as well as the art/ technology of their recording process.
The exhibition will feature handwritten lyrics, costumes, and an array of rare musical instruments.
Other legendary artistes on exhibition include Nigerian visual artist Laolu Senbanjo, Nigerian singer/ songwriter Sir Victor Uwaifo, Ice Prince and Congolese rumba singer/songwriter Tabu Ley Rochereau whose works will be exhibited as well.
