And newly released photos from their big day on Wednesday reveal how instead of a high fashion ‘do, the newlyweds opted for a rather more traditional scene.

Kelly Rowland and Lala Anthony were among the eight bridesmaids, but Serena Williams had to pull out of bridesmaid duties after sailing through to the Wimbledon quarter finals this week, following her win against Russian player Russian Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova. The other bridesmaids were Erica Ashe, Jamaica Craft, Hanna Isaksson, Sabena Toor and Anna Wilson, who is Russell’s sister.
The new pictures show the bridesmaids wearing long black dresses individually designed by Michael Costello. As his groomsmen Russell chose Kenny Dichter, Jimmy Graham, Cole Hawthorne, Matthew Rodgers, Mark Rodgers, Robert Turbin and his brother Harry Wilson.
