Chris Brown has hired armed guards to protect his home one week after intruders robbed him and held his aunt hostage in a closet, according to a new report.

TMZ claims that the 26-year-old, who is currently still in the Philippines after being temporarily barred from leaving, is planning to have security monitoring his Los Angeles property at all hours of the day and night.

According to the gossip site, Chris has hired one guard to patrol inside his home, and another to remain in a vehicle outside.

The singer has allegedly told the guards to use their weapons if necessary.

TMZ reports that Chris will also be minimizing the amount of people he invites to the house, on the advice of his mother and professionals. Chris’s home was invaded at 2am on July 15, while he performed at a club, and it is thought that he was ‘tailed’ ahead of the incident.
