Following reports that music superstar, D’banj was attacked by a mob of thugs and street urchins on Wedenesday, September 16, Banga Lee‘s reps have come out to dismiss the claims, saying it was all love towards the singer from the mob.
D’banj was reportedly in Apapa, a highbrow of Lagos, to shoot a commercial when fans mobbed him and demanded to have moments with him.
“What was wrongly reported as an attack by a mob of thugs was actually a mob of fans who had been eagerly waiting to see the Koko Master in person as he exited a factory in Apapa where he had been shooting a commercial” a PR statement from the singer’s camp read.
The statement further revealed, “the crowd of close to a thousand were chanting and shouting songs from his yet to be released EP and lines such as “Baba Confidential” “Baba, who is knocking on Ur door” and “Baba we feeling the nikka”
The ‘Koko Garri’ entrepreneur is set to release his visual EP titled “An Epic Journey” on September 28, 2015.
