Six months after welcoming her daughter, Foxy Brown reveals the first image of the adorable baby. Posting a video soundtracked by Lauryn Hill’s “To Zion,” the Ill Nana delivered a personal message.
“My Gorgeous, Greatest, Gray Eyed BIRTHDAY GIFT,” she wrote. “GLORY TO GOD My GREATEST Hit? Obsessively IN LOVE.”
Wendy Williams announced the birth back in March, but she wouldn’t reveal the identity of the baby’s father. “Congratulations to Foxy Brown. She had a baby girl,” she said at the time. “No word on exactly who the baby’s father is but allegedly it’s a reggae star and I’m not going to say his name because I think that me and Foxy have some sort of relationship.”
Foxy revealed the baby’s first public photo on her own 39th birthday. As she was doing that, Nicki Minaj was celebrating Brown as an iconic female MC. “I may have never even started rapping if it wasn’t for her. KING FOX,” she wrote. “Her flow & delivery is still unmatched. You can’t listen to me w/o hearing her influence. She’s still the only thing I compete w/when it comes to precision of flow, delivery & execution. Trini QUEEN ?? Happy Birthday my love @foxybrown.”
Brown has not released an official album since 2001’s Broken Silence. Back in March, after giving birth, she unleashed “Break’s Over,” a diss track aimed at Remy Ma.
