Gospel Rapper Lecrae leads Dove Awards nominations with 7

Gospel rapper Lecrae leads the pack of nominees for the 46th annual Dove Awards organised by the the Gospel Music Association.

He scored himself seven nominations, including artist of the year.

The announcement was made on Wednesday, August 12. The award will be held on Oct. 13 in Nashville, Tennessee.

Other nominees include Erica Campbell, Brothers Joel, Luke Smallbone, Crowder, Matt Maher and Chris Tomlin.

The nominees in 12 categories were revealed today during the press conference and included here are five of the top categories announced today.
