After dropping “Team,” the highly-anticipated first single off her upcoming sophomore album Digital Distortion, Iggy Azalea is opening up about her darkest moments.
During an interview with Power 106’s “The Cruz Show” on Friday (March 18), the Elle Canada cover star reveals that she’s had suicidal thoughts in recent years.
“There were times when I just wanted to quit life,” explained the Aussie rapper. “The whole thing, really, like my whole life.
“Sometimes, I would drive through the canyons to get to my horses,” she later added. “And I’d be like, ‘What if I just kept driving off the canyon?’ Sometimes I would feel like that.”
Iggy went on to say that legal drama, “personal stuff,” and feeling like her career was “in shambles” made her feel that despair. However, her fiancé (Lakers guard Nick Young), friends, and her horses helped cheer her up.
“You can always turn it around,” she added. “Whatever it is.”
