Kelly Rowland is the perfect face to channel some of fashion and music’s biggest hair icons. For the hair-themed website Mane Addicts, Rowland depicted hairstyles inspired by the likes of singers Diana Ross and Sade, as well as 1970s social activist/Mick Jagger’s ex-wife, Bianca Jagger, and French 80s fashion icon/actress, Farida Khelfa Goude.
Styled by celebrity hairstylist Kim Kimble, Kelly’s first look was Diana Ross-inspired big hair. The photo has Kelly in a simple white tank and jeans, as full, cascading, loose waves fall to her waist. Kelly also modeled a hairstyle inspired by Sade; a sleek, low ponytail twisted down her back.
For the look inspired by Bianca Jagger, Kimble styles Kelly’s hair into a medium length bob, complete with a hat with a veil, one of Jagger’s signature accessories. For the look inspired by Farida Khelfa Goude, Kimble styled Kelly’s hair in thick, voluminous, curls famous of Goude’s signature look in the 80s.
