Four People Shot During T.I. Concert At Irving Plaza

Four people were shot at a T.I. concert in New York Wednesday night, with one of the victims in critical condition, according to CBS News.

The shooting took place inside the venue around 10:15 p.m. before the rapper took the stage. According to ABC News, an argument ensued in the balcony of the Union Square venue before witnesses heard gunshots.

Elijah Rodriguez, who was at the concert with his sister, said that TI was supposed to go onstage at around 9 or 9:30 p.m. but “he never showed up.” He said TI was not onstage at the time shots were fired.

Chaos was reported inside the venue at the time of the shooting. By around 11 p.m., the New York City Police department tweeted that “Scene safe at this time. Please stay clear of area.”


A 34-year old man was shot in the chest and a 34-year old man was shot in the abdomen, officials told CBS. Both were taken to Bellevue Hospital and are listed in critical condition. A 26-year old woman was shot in the leg and also taken to Bellevue, she is in stable condition.

A fourth victim walked into NYU Lagone Medical Center with a gunshot wound. The person’s condition is not known.
