Legendary ‘Juju’ musician, General Prince Adekunle Dies At 74

Veteran ‘Juju’ musician, Adeyinka Adekunle, popularly referred to as General Prince Adekunle is dead.

His death was announced by Femi Adekunle (a cousin to the late musician).

Lt General Prince had spent about three weeks at the Federal Medical Centre, Abeokuta before giving up the ghost.

Late General Prince Adekunle was a Nigerian Jùjú musician of Egba origin, from Abeokuta in Ogun State. ‎He was born on October 22, 1942.

The late Adekunle, who reigned in the 60’s and 70’s, trained other popular musicians such as Sir Shina Peters‎ and Segun Adewale.

The remains of the late musician has been deposited in the mortuary and his family is expected to meet on Tuesday for burial arrangement in Abeokuta, the hometown of the late musician.
