Legendary Zimbabwean Musician Oliver Mtukudzi is Dead.

Another legendary Zimbabwean musician Oliver Mtukudzi is dead. The loss of this man has led to a national and continental mourning.

Mtukudzi passed away on Wednesday, January 23, at a hospital in Harare after being rushed for medical treatment a day before. The 66-year-old had been battling with an unnamed illness for a better part of December 2018 prior to his demise. His death was not quite expected by many.
Oliver Mtukudzi who started performing in 1977 with a band known as Wagon Wheels have released songs regarded as major successes both on a national and international scale.
He is also a philanthropist and businessman. He is considered to be one of Zimbabwe’s most recognized cultural icon. Throughout his career, he has released 66 albums and his iconic music has seen him tour some big nations across the world through the years in a career that spans as far back as 1977.
Surprisingly, Oliver died on the same date Jazz great legend Hugh Masekela passed on a year ago and he was set to release his 67th album.
