Following a heavy week of post-Lemonade analysis, and probably too many mentions of the word “Becky,” Beyoncé shut everything down at her Formation World Tour opener in Miami.
Of all the moments that happened at the show, which saw the most beautiful costumes, perfect medleys, and Bey walking on water (!), the most emotional and perhaps poignant part came at the very end, just as the opening notes to “Halo” played. Bey told the crowd that the song was for her family and most notably, Jay. “I want to dedicate this song to my beautiful husband, I love you so much,” she told the crowd, who of course, went wild. Blue Ivy, Prince, and God also got shout outs, as did everyone watching “from the top to the bottom.”
