Beyoncé set off the 2016 BET Awards with a powerful message about black rights, kicking off the show with a dynamic, and very wet, performance, debuting a new remix of “Freedom” with special guest Kendrick Lamar.
After the mind-blowing performance, she jetted out, but her mother Tina Knowles took the stage twice throughout the night to pick up Beyonce’s awards for Video Of The Year and the Coca-Cola Viewers’ Choice Award.
