Lil Wayne and his adopted father/scumbag label boss, Bryan “Birdman” Williams, have been fighting in court for six months over millions of dollars and the release of Wayne’s Tha Carter V. Now they’re apparently fighting in the club, too. Birdman, or someone with him in the VIP section at Miami’s notorious Club LIV, threw a drink on Weezy Sunday night.
Video of the incident doesn’t show who threw the liquor, but it does catch Wayne, who was performing his “Coco” remix at the time, grimacing, then pans up to Birdman on the balcony. According to Miss Info, witnesses said Birdman’s people also started throwing bottles of water onto the stage.
The club ended up closing before either side could take things further, Miss Info reports.
This isn’t the first confrontation between Birdman and Lil Wayne at Liv (which is basically a celebrity fight club at this point). They reportedly almost came to blows back in February after Wayne said something homophobic.
Weezy plans to refile his $50 million lawsuit, which alleges that Birdman’s Cash Money label didn’t pay him for past albums and refused to release Tha Carter V, in his hometown of New Orleans. The suit was originally filed in New York, but Wayne decided to move it after learning Cash Money planned to challenge the venue.
