Kanye West and Taylor Swift have come a long way. Who would have thought that six years after he crashed her speech at the 2009 VMAs that the two would be BFFs?
Well, you better believe it. ‘Ye sent the “Shake It Off” singer a cube arrangement of all-white flowers to thank her for presenting him with the Video Vanguard Award at Sunday’s VMAs.
She used the hashtags #BFFs and #KanTay2020, joking that she may be joining West on a joint ticket in the 2020 presidential race.
“Awwww Kanye sent me the coolest flowers!! #KanTay2020 #BFFs,” tweeted Swift.
She credits mutual friend Jay Z for bringing them together after years of bad blood. “I feel like I wasn’t ready to be friends with [West] until I felt like he had some sort of respect for me, and he wasn’t ready to be friends with me until he had some sort of respect for me—so it was the same issue, and we both reached the same place at the same time,” she told Vanity Fair.
