A thief reportedly broke into Kanye West’s creative studio and stole $20,000 worth of equipment. Law enforcement officials received a call on Tuesday (May 24) to report the overnight burglary, according to TMZ.

The door to the Calabasas office, where Kanye houses his Yeezy fashion line and DONDA creative team, had been pried open overnight and the thief made off with laptop and desktop computers.

The gear has since been replaced and none of Yeezy’s work was compromised, say insiders within ‘Ye’s camp. Apparently, their computers were closely guarded by security software that prevented leaks.

Currently, there are no suspects in the case, but Mr. West’s camp thinks it was someone with direct knowledge of the office.

On his Life of Pablo cut “Real Friends,” Kanye references a stolen laptop. “I had a cousin that stole my laptop that I was fuckin’ bitches on,” he raps. “Paid that ni**a $250,000 just to get it from him.”

Eventually, ‘Ye said he loved his cousin anyway, on “No More Parties in LA.” “Tell all my cousins I love ’em,” he rhymed. “Even the one that stole the laptop, you dirty motherfu**er.”
