Rihanna and Drake are reunited and it feels so good. At least that’s what PEOPLE is reporting. On Thursday (May 5), the magazine revealed that the “Work” duo has been “secretly dating for months,” according to an anonymous source.
If their relationship is back on, it marks a reunion for the “Take Care” and “What’s My Name?” collaborators, who have been fueling romantic rumors for some time now.
In 2010, Rihanna told Angie Martinez that there was chemistry between the two superstars. “I definitely was attracted to Drake, but I think it is what it is, like it was what it was,” she said at the time (via CNN). “We didn’t want to take it any further. It was at a really fragile time in my life, so I just didn’t want to get too serious with anything or anyone at that time.”
That same year, Drake opened up about their relationship to The New York Times. “I was a pawn,” he said. “You know what she was doing to me? She was doing exactly what I’ve done to so many women throughout my life, which is show them quality time, then disappear. I was like, wow, this feels terrible.”
More recently, they’ve celebrated success together. Their collaboration “Work” spent nine weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and they’ve been performing it during select “ANTI World Tour” dates. In fact, they did just that last night, surprising fans with a steamy duet at L.A.’s Forum.
During Rihanna’s Toronto show last month, Drake showered RiRi with praise. “Make some noise for the greatest woman I’ve ever known in my life,” he told the hometown crowd. “She goes by the name of Rihanna.”
After Wednesday’s concert, the rumored couple headed to L.A. hotspot The Nice Guy, where they were seen “dancing all night together” and being “very affectionate.”
“They have been keeping it a secret because this time around, they want to do it right and keep their relationship private,” the source tells PEOPLE.
RiRi and Drake most recently teamed up for “Too Good” off the latter’s album Views. “We’re not just forcing the story. We have genuine energy between us,” Drake told Zane Lowe on OVOSOUND Radio. “It wouldn’t be a record without Rihanna. We do well together as a team.”
