The 29-year-old singer who is the younger sister of Beyoncé Knowles, misplaced her art-deco inspired diamond ring during a New Orleans Mardi Gras celebration on Thursday (04.02.16) when it flew off her hand as she threw beads into the crowd.
Solange designed the ring with jeweller Lorraine Schwartz for her 2014 wedding to Alan Ferguson. She was Honorary Muse in the Krewe of Muses parade at Mardi Gras and the group put out an appeal for the ring.
They wrote on Facebook: “Honorary Muse Solange lost her wedding ring between Toledano and Foucher. Reward if found! Contact info@kreweofmuses.org (sic).”
While Solange was upset by losing the ring, she revealed her 11-year-old Julez managed to cheer her up with a sweet message.
She tweeted: “My son said, mom I’m just happy YOU didn’t fly off the float, & that your safe, & that you still get to have the love you have.*tears dried (sic).”
Solange and Alan tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in New Orleans in 2014 surrounded by 50 of their closest friends and family members.
