Timberlake returned to the studio last night for a session with Timbaland.
Timbaland, of course, was the lead producer on both Timberlake’s 2006 opus FutureSex/LoveSounds and his 2013 follow-up The 20/20 Experience. Last week he was also in the studio with Pharrell Williams, Timbo and Pharrell are two of the three most important producers who have had the greatest influence upon Timberlake’s solo career.
Timberlake also shared a photo of himself in the studio with country group Little Big Town.
“NBD… Just writing with @littlebigtown,” he wrote. “This band is the truth!! So good!!!!”
With Timbo, Skateboard P, and LBT on board, it looks like JT is working on a new album. If so, it will be his first project since 2013’s The 20/20 Experience – 2 of 2.
