Forbes has rolled out its Cash Princes list, which includes Bryson Tiller, Desiigner, and Tory Lanez.
D.R.A.M., Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Yachty, Isaiah Rashad, and Stormzy are also on the list, along with Cash Princesses Young M.A. and Noname.
The judges for this year’s list are Top Dawg Entertainment president and manager Dave Free, British rapper Little Simz, and Too $hort, along with members of the Forbes staff.
Speaking of TDE’s Isaiah Rashad, Free noted his skills as an artist. “Vocal texture is the main thing that stood out to me when I signed him,” he explained. “His ability to be able to contextualize stories at a young age and be able to do that and understand the range of his vocal abilities sets him apart form any artist that’s out there today … I’m excited to see where he takes it.”
Meanwhile, Little Simz, a Cash Prince last year, said fellow British rapper Stormzy’s perspective will help him win in the long run. “Stormzy gets and understands the bigger picture and isn’t afraid to broaden his horizons,” said Simz. “He is an inspiration to many and there no limitations on how far he will take it, because he’s doing this on his own terms.”
Aside from Simz, last year’s Cash Prince list also featured Boi-1da, DeJ Loaf, Fetty Wap, G-Eazy, Joey Bada$$, Lil Dicky, Logic, and Metro Boomin. See this year’s full list below.
