Future and Ciara have finally settled the custody dispute over their 2-year-old son, Future Zahir.
Sources within both camps confirm that the famous exes have agreed to joint custody, allowing their son to spend the majority of his time with his mother, according to TMZ.
The report claims that Future’s time on the road will keep him from his son for part of the year, but that he’ll have “reasonable access” to Zahir when he’s back in Atlanta.
Insiders say that Ciara and Hendrix hope to move forward with their respective lives now that this dispute is over.
Ciara and Future have had a contentious relationship since their failed engagement. Last year, they dropped defamation lawsuits against one another, but not before making their discord public with legal docs and social media statements.
Future has said he wishes Ciara well despite their drama-filled breakup. “Her being successful, her being happy, helps me. I’m attached to you,” he said. “If you’re happy, I’m happy. You’re connected for life. I don’t want you to go through this shit and for it to come back on my son, my kid. I want you to be in the best situation.”
Ciara, meanwhile, is now married to Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson. Over the weekend, Hendrix attended the Atlanta Falcons’ game against the Seahawks, watching his hometown squad defeat Wilson’s team 36-20 in a pivotal face-off.
