Nigeria’s headline artiste Davido has described Ghana’s Stonebwoy as a ‘humble cat.’
He made the comment minutes after the dancehall artiste was adjudged the Best International Act, Africa at the 2015 edition of the BET Awards in the USA on Sunday.
Stonebwoy has become the first Ghanaian and African dancehall artiste to win a BET Award. He beat top acts AKA and The Soil from South Africa, Dr Congo’s Fally Ipupa, Ghana’s Sarkodie, Kenya’s Sauti Sol, as well as Wizkid and Yemi Alade from Nigeria.
A lot of African artistes have since been congratulating Stonebwoy on his feat.
