At the just concluded Felabration 2015, Femi Kuti, son of the Afrobeat legend, Fela Anikulapo Kuti said Lagbaja is not his competitor.
Femi told reporters that he has been ‘friends forever’ with Lagbaja , and he said they both ‘used to play together when the mask man (Lagbaja) first started out.’”
Femi Kuti also said he and Lagbaja do get along very well and he sees himself as a competitor and not someone else.
According to him, “We get on very well I make myself my competitor.”.
