Chocolate Droppa is dropping an album.
Kevin Hart’s rap alter ego has officially signed a deal with Motown Records and is readying his first album for release this fall, according to Billboard.
In full Droppa mode, the actor-turned-rapper spit some bars in front of his new label’s Hollywood headquarters and teased an #AlbumDroppingSoon.
“Coming back,” he rhymed. “To take what’s mine / Drake, Future, Jay Z, 2 Chainz, I’m about to smack all y’all on the behind / I let y’all suckers eat, but I’m hungry now / Going downtown and I’m looking to get down.”
In another post, he also warned rappers of his pending arrival. “If you’re a rapper I suggest you run because I’m about to come for all of you sucka’s,” he wrote. “Y’all just knocked on the door of a small giant that loves chicken nuggets and long walks in the park in the summer….which basically means that I will kill everybody!!!!”
Throughout his career, Droppa has unleashed a barrage of bars. In 2012, he even appeared on a skit off DJ Drama’s Quality Street Music.
Then, in 2014, he spit a few lines in the presence of Kendrick Lamar. “At the end of the day,” Droppa rhymed at the time. “I run from the feds / Real ni**a in the streets and I’m off them meds.”
The TDE spitter offered his stamp of approval. “The fact that he’s busting these crazy bars for me,” said K-Dot. “That’s amazing.”
