It’s over for The Weeknd and Selena Gomez.
The couple has reportedly split after 10 months of dating, according to TMZ. They were first seen kissing one another back in January.
Gomez has recently been seen with her ex, Justin Bieber. Last week, they reportedly hung out with some friends and there are rumors of other face-to-face meetings. On Sunday, the former couple was seen going to church and having lunch together in Westlake Village, Calif.
The Selena and Abel connection seemed to be going strong. In February, Gomez spent $30,000 on The Weeknd’s birthday. He was also by her side during her kidney transplant and recovery, reportedly scheduling his tour around her needs.
But Bieber and Gomez have a long history together. They were an on-and-off item since at least 2010, with ups, downs, breakups, reconciliations, and public disputes along the way. “When you love someone that much, even if something comes between you, it’s a love that never really dies,” Bieber said of Gomez in a 2015 interview with Billboard.
Their contentious relationship has also resulted in hurt feelings and a family member has already admonished their reconciliation, telling TMZ: “Justin is a vile human and will never be accepted by us. As long as she is even speaking to him in any way, it is not only disrespectful to everyone around her, it is disrespectful to herself.”
