The news comes just a day after Banks made several racist and homophobic statements on the platform against a slew of targets, including Zayn Malik.

A spokesperson for Twitter told Billboard that they “do not comment on individual accounts, for privacy and security reasons,” but a note on her account says that it “has been suspended.”

Accounts are generally suspended on Twitter for a variety of reasons, including abusive tweets or behavior. “We may suspend an account if it has been reported to us as violating our rules surrounding abuse,” the platform’s website states. “When an account engages in abusive behavior, like sending threats to others or impersonating other accounts, we may suspend it temporarily or, in some cases, permanently.”

Born & Bred Festival dropped the Slay-Z rapper, who was slated to co-headline the London festival, as a result of her Twitter outbursts.

In March, Banks temporarily deleted her Twitter account, saying that she was done with the social media platform “once and for all.” Nevertheless, she returned to controversy on the service in April during a heated exchange with Sarah Palin.
