Paul McCartney Denied Entry Into Tyga’s Grammy After-Party

  • By Olamide Onipede

The legendary Paul McCartney tried and failed to get into Tyga’s Grammy after-party at Los Angeles’ Argyle nightclub on Monday (Feb. 15). The Beatles icon was accompanied by Beck, Woody Harrelson, and Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins, but all three stars were denied entry at the door.

“How VIP do we gotta get?” McCartney asked, before joking: “We need another hit.”

When Tyga left the party, he called McCartney a legend but said he didn’t know anything about the party rejection.

Bow Wow seemed more willing to speak about the situation. “The Paul McCartney came to Argyle?” he said in disbelief. “And they would not let Paul McCartney in? You have to be lying. There’s no way.”

No worries for Sir Paul. He ended up going to the Republic Records after-party, where Taylor Swift and The Weeknd were celebrating their Grammy wins.

On Tuesday, Tyga addressed the rejection, tweeting, “Why would I deny @PaulMcCartney stop it. He’s a legend.”
